Central to the display are lacquer and kintsugi work, the art of repairing ceramics that honors imperfections as narratives of renewal. The emphasis is on collective storytelling through art rather than individual acclaim. HIROKI’s 50 years of knowledge in traditional restoration using natural materials does not simply repair a single object, but rather presents the possibility of it becoming contemporary art in itself, transcending the boundaries of art and creating
a blended collaboration.
